SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School is for ages 7- 12 years.

We use different materials to teach our faith. We pray a decade of the Rosary at the start of class. We play an Apostle Memory Game or Saint Snap which we made ourselves. We use the Youcat for Kids to teach the children about our Catholic faith. We also read from one of the Gospels. We learn about the Sacraments, Saints and the different liturgical events of the church year. We all learn in a fun environment where questions are encouraged, and our relationship with Jesus and Mary is deepened.

Sunday School is taught by Fiona and Sadhbh Kiely.

Fiona, a Lay Dominican, is the Mother of 4 girls and has been teaching at the Dominican Sunday School for several years. She has studied the Catechism of the Catholic Church, has a Degree in Theology and is currently training to be a Catechist. Sadhbh, also a Lay Dominican, assists in the classes. She attended Sunday School as a child, and has been a teacher in Sunday School for 2 years. She is a college student studying languages, is also involved in Bible Study and is taking a YouCat course.
