Jesus in the Old Testament
February 28th, Tuesday at 7pm-8pm
On the Road to Emmaus, Jesus ‘explained to them in all the Scriptures the things about himself’ (Luke 24:16). What could he have been talking about? Where is Jesus in the Old Testament Scriptures? On Pentecost Sunday a breathless St. Peter ran out of the Upper Room and explained to the crowds below what had just happened, using the Old Testament to let Jesus speak of his Resurrection. The purpose of this series of talks is to hear the voice of Jesus in the Old Testament and to show how, in reality, he is the one who “fulfils the Scriptures” and brings them to life, Old Testament and New.
